Priye Ranjan Dwyer was born in Delhi, India; lives with his growing family in Gaya, Bihar; and has accomplished graduate or post graduate studies in fields of Science, Law, Business, Hotel Management, and Personnel Management and Industrial Relations.

He actively supports local educational programs by serving as director of the Prajna Vihar School near Bodh Gaya and the St. Thomas Academy in Gaya. He holds past or current board level and leadership roles in the Rotary Club, YMCA, Red Cross Society, an Interfaith Forum, and the Mahabodhi Society of India.

Dwyer is district coordinator of a Friends of Trees organization which offers environmental programs in forty-five schools in the Gaya and Bodh Gaya area.

He created the Dwyer Foundation to further develop local educational programs, sewing centers, and health clinics. He enjoys social service, chess, photography and traveling.
